Meet Ella
Hi there and thank you so much for being here! I am Ella Mooney - the real Mama Mooney.
Let me take you on a journey back 8 years when I was 21, had just graduated from Manchester University, flew to the other side of the planet and wanted to base myself in what I believed to be the health epitome of the world - Bondi Beach! My plan had been to dive deeper into health (a total passion of mine) and on return to the UK, go back to studying and train as a Naturopath.
I had already been practicing yoga throughout university but it was more of a ‘hobby’ for me. When signing up to an unlimited pass at a very popular studio in Bondi, I fell head over heels in love. My whole perspective on life was shifting and yoga was my deepest joy. I don’t think I missed a day then went on to sign up for more classes and importantly, courses that taught me more about the deeper layers of yoga.
Fast forward a year or two and I moved to Byron Bay where I went to study yoga for a year (the Naturopath plan was long gone).
What I haven’t yet mentioned is that ever since that flight to Australia, I had not had a period. I went two and a half years without a bleed, a condition called amenhorrea. There are many factors that I think may have contributed to this and I’ll never know exactly, but ultimately, I knew that if I wasn’t having a cycle, I was infertile.
I was still very young and wasn’t planning on having children any time soon but knew 100% that I wanted to have the option. Aside from that, not having a regular cycle was a sign to me that something was deeply out of balance and with such a passion for health, this was not ok for me. I worked really hard to find an answer…
In Aus I saw a GP, TCM practitioner, Ayurvedic practitioner, yoga therapists, shamanic healers and pretty much everything in between. I was a dedicated ‘student’ taking my daily tinctures of hormone balancing plants, engaging in all the restorative, juicy, feminine practices, eating plenty of wholesome food (as always, but more) and even tried reintroducing red meat for a little while which at the time was quite a huge move for me. I went to workshops with women who taught about feminine energy and hormone health across Australia and Bali! I really did my best.
This journey was the start of my dedication and passion for women’s health - its intricacies, its need for balance and care, its ability to highlight the deepest parts of your soul! In some ways, I was truly having the time of my life, but there was deep deep grief inside that I think my body’s intelligence knew needed healing before bringing new life into the world. I am grateful for my body’s wisdom.
Within my year of study at Byron Yoga Centre, we covered women’s health and pregnancy. A few years later, I did another 85hr training with Sally Parkes focusing on Pregnancy Yoga, Birth Prep, Mum and Baby Yoga and Postnatal Yoga.
I have been teaching Pre and Postnatal Yoga throughout my 20s and I am newly a mother. Pregnancy, birth and postpartum is such a rollercoaster experience of highs and lows. It's vulnerable, raw, powerful and oh so sacred. It would be an honour to support you on your own unique journey toward and into motherhood.
I am a trained Natural Fertility Awareness Educator and have plans to create greater offerings around this in the future!

Meet Aimee
Aimee grew up as a dancer in Leeds. At 18, after moving to Australia in 2013 with her family, she found and fell in love with Barre and Pilates as it filled the hole that was left from quitting dancing.
Back in the UK, she qualified in Pilates in 2021 after deciding she needs a career change into something she was passionate about (spreadsheets are not the one). Soon after she was offered a job at Barrecore and underwent 300 hours of Barre training, a method known to be safe and hugely supportive for pre and postnatal bodies, where she is a firm favourite on the schedule offering classes in Barre Signature, Barre Glide, Reformcore and Pilates.
After surgery for endometriosis, Aimee decided to study to become a physiotherapist where she could continue developing her anatomy and physiology knowledge, help others and become more financially stable. However due to not selecting any science A Levels in 2011, she had to attend night school to complete an access to higher education course, alongside working as a physio assistant on a long covid pathway and instructing Pilates part time. She is now studying at Leeds Beckett University and has already developed an interest into women’s health.
Meet Emily
Dr Emily Tarrant is a Chartered and Registered Psychologist, and a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher and Certified Meditation Teacher. She is the founder of YoGology, a yoga and wellness studio located in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. Emily holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Masters Degree in Criminological Psychology, a Doctorate Level Qualification in Applied Forensic Psychology and a PhD in Psychology (studying empathy in custodial settings). She is Chartered with the British Psychological Society and Registered to Practice with the Health and Care Professions Council. She is an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society and an Approved Clinical Supervisor of Trainee Psychologists.
Emily has over 20 years of experience working with vulnerable adults and children who have experienced complex trauma, completing psychological assessments, therapeutic interventions, research and training.
She is an advocate of yoga as more than a physical practice, having experienced the benefits of meditation, pranayama and the application of yogic philosophy in her own life. Her passion lies in teaching yoga as a holistic practice that can be applied as much ‘off the mat’ as it can ‘on the mat’ to help people live healthier, happier and more easeful lives. In 2021, Emily became a Certified Meditation Teacher after undertaking a 100-hour meditation teacher training course with the British School of Meditation. In February 2024, she completed a second 100-hour meditation teacher training course with Dr Keshava at Sarvaguna Yoga in Goa, India. Emily has developed a keen interest in how psychology and yoga can integrate together to provide tools to enhance wellbeing and reduce psychological distress.
When not working, she loves to head out into the countryside for trail running and wild swimming.
Meet Tash
Tash is a Yoga, Meditation and Qigong teacher specialising in restful relaxation practices to support mental health. Yoga has always been a big part of her life; her South-Indian and Indonesian background has provided her with a deeper understanding of Yoga and Ayurvedic practices.
She has 7 years of experience teaching in a range of studios in London and Leeds, and has completed further training in Yoga for Stress, Burnout, Anxiety, and Depression. This background helps her to create restful and nurturing relaxation practices embedded in authentic Yoga philosophy. Tash has also completed a Meditation Teacher Training at the British School of Meditation in 2021 so she likes to weave different types of meditation into her heavenly classes.
Her classes are gentle, meditative, and relaxing with an increased focus on mental health. Tash’s intention is to provide you the space to nurture yourself as you breathe, strengthen, and stretch your body and mind. I don’t take myself or life too seriously - and this is reflected in my classes. Expect to find peace whilst also having a giggle.
